Long mural wallpaper wall in a finished living room
This Sundance living room had a long red painted feature wall with two narrow windows, a ceiling line, baseboard, outlets, furniture, and floor protection all affecting the installation space. The project needed careful prep and controlled installation so the finished Happywall mural wallpaper would read as one calm wall surface instead of separate panels.

Project challenge
A long feature wall leaves little room for rushed layout. Window openings, wall length, ceiling changes, baseboard edges, electrical outlets, and furniture clearances all influence how the mural reads once it is installed.
Installed solution
The red wall was prepared and primed before installation. The Happywall mural wallpaper was then installed across the main span and worked around the narrow window openings so the final finish felt lighter, quieter, and continuous across the living room.

Wall Prep
The bold red wall needed a controlled prep stage before a lighter mural wallpaper could be installed cleanly across the full feature span.
Window Details
Narrow windows, casing edges, and upper wall lines shaped the installation sequence because those details are where alignment and trimming become most visible.
Finished Result
The living room moved from a saturated red feature wall to a softer Happywall mural wallpaper finish while keeping the existing flooring, trim, windows, and furniture layout in place.
Planning Note
What to send before booking a mural wallpaper wall
Large mural walls benefit from photo review before installation. Wall size, product dimensions, window placement, wall texture, paint colour, and furniture clearance can all change the install plan.
Measure the wall
Send the full width, height, ceiling changes, baseboard details, and the location of windows or outlets so the mural layout can be reviewed before installation day.
Show the current finish
Photos of paint colour, sheen, texture, repairs, and any previous wallcovering help confirm whether priming or additional prep should be planned.
Clear the working area
Long living room walls usually need furniture pulled forward, floor protection, and enough access for ladders, tools, and panel handling.
